I still haven't recovered the shit I lost when "Vavoom" was released. I suspect Rusty Trumpet took it. |

To hear Prince sing "I need seven inches or more" is really the holy grail. Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking. |

That would be the only other contender at this point.

That might be one of those things that he deleted once Vanity's vocal was finished. I can't see him wanting tapes around of him talking about needing dick.
Holy Grail for me would be The Divine, based solely on Prince's description of it. Oh, and those 5 tracks that Morris Hayes recently mentioned. When Doves Cry with bass I could take or leave. After an initial listen to see what it sounds like, I couldn't see myself playing it repeatedly. It's one of those songs I've heard enough of. "That's when stars collide. When there's space for what u want, and ur heart is open wide." |

We've already heard Prince sing the hook on the 'Hot Wit U' remix on RAVE IN2.
This is one of the songs Prince gave to others that I'd be the least interested to hear his own vocal version of. I feel similarly about the bass version of 'When Doves Cry.'
For me, the holy grail is simply albums and songs that I haven't heard yet and no-one in the Prince community even knows exists.
I'm particularly interested in all the unreleased material from the last decade or so of Prince's life. |

I think I'll try to come up with a bass line for that song. It would be interesting to see if what I come up with is anything like what Prince laid down.
What I'm really saying is, if I get within 100 miles of a bassline as funky as Prince's, I'll consider my life complete!

This is the interview to which I was referring. It was in 3 parts, each an hour long, and I believe he mentions the tracks in part 2.
