Best from the worst It’s been said that even Prince’s not so great albums have some tasty nuggets. Let’s test that theory out. What are your favorite tracks from your least favorite albums? Give me at least your bottom (and top) 3. . Hitnrun Phase One 1000 X’s & O’s, followed closely by X’s Face (Once I get past the first 4 songs, the album picks up.) . The Rainbow Children The Sensual Everafter (Darth Vader’s only good moment on the album) . 20ten Lavaux . MPLSound Dance 4 Me (That was the hardest album to find a good song. The Black Album - Le Grind, Rockhard in a Funky Place Good choices all around. Can’t really argue with any of them for Planet Earth, I would add The One I Wanna C. For such a weak album, there are actually several tracks that I like. Here is a pretty decent track that gets lost for me given the album that it’s on. "Love & honesty, peace & harmony" | |

I think first you'd have to get consnsus on the "worst" albums becasue a lot of people like NEWS and Planet Earth. Off the top of my head though, based on what people seem to hate: 20Ten: Laydown, Beginning Endlessly Chaos & Disorder: The Same December

I do not think all of these albums are bad, but these are the ones that seem to get the most mixed to negative reactions:
New Power Soul - The One / Wasted Kisses Rave - ELUBIDTUA (I actually like most of Rave) NEWS - er....um.... Planet Earth - Somewhere Here on Earth MPLS Sound - Dance 4 Me / Ol' Skool Company 20Ten - Sticky Like Glue / Future Soul Song (had "Act Of God" been more like the live take from 2013 onward, I'd have picked it as well). HITNRUN Phase One - Nothing. Honestly, this whole album is just embarassing for me to listen to. Thank God Phase Two was great, this would've been a sad end for Prince's career.
I know The Rainbow Children, Come, Chaos and Disorder, One Nite Alone, and The Black Album all have their critics (plus the 'music club' exclusives), but I had a hard enough time picking out the best songs from them that they rate at least average for me (and I love TRC and Come from start to finish anyway).
There are two exceptions:
