I think what makes this one special is that we actually get to see what he looked like when he delivered it. Yes - he did some amazing (possibly better, even) screams on audio recordings. But there's just something about seeing his face, his total "in the moment-ness" that sends this one over the top.

Somethin in the Water is AMAZING. That scream!!!!

Once he's completed his thesis on silence, and he's gotten bored with his career as a silence teacher in Harvard, I'm pretty sure Dilan could be interested in teaching "screaming theory in music" in Stanford

For me it is that scream epilogue in the Beautiful Ones.

That scream coda burns out like an incandescent fuselage of vocal pyrotechnics.

I will say as someone suggested Temptation he does some pretty bad ass screams. So many screams are just mind-blowing in his work.

The ooh-waahs are kill and distinctive but they lack the passion of his uninhibited soul borrowing screams.

Not to diminish Prince's abilities in any way, but James Brown was first.
That said, they're the only two singers I know of capable of such deliveries.

Prince had more musicality in one of his screams than in some artists whole discography.

The heart wrenching screams in the beautifull ones.

They always give me goosebumps.
