As soon as I heard the opening lyric of Purple Rain, I closed the window, I really have a thing about people covering Prince... leave his shit alone. And when it comes to Purple Rain, I really don't need to hear it any more. It's probably not even in my top 25 favorite Prince songs. But if I do hear it, I only want it to be Prince singing it. > That said, she's got a nice voice, and Prince would have been behind her 100%.
