If you look closely, that arm doing the pointing, in the black silk / satin doesn't actually seem to belong to Prince, no? It looks like it's attached to a shoulder in the foreground, whose head we can't see...Or am I looking at it wrongly?

No, you are looking at it right. Besides, all it takes is a quick glance at the hand. Not Prince's.

Thanks, poppys! I also see that Joni Mitchell has both photos on her Twitter.

I love the story Joni told that she first saw Prince in the front row of her show in Minneapolis in 1974 (?), and that he was a little guy with big eyes staring at her through the performance. And then, maybe 6 years later or whatever, he started getting famous and she recognized him as the same guy from her concert.

Of course, they are published in the book. That's the point; however, I had not seen these of Joni Mitchell on Afshin's social media. I asked because so many people have begun copying the photos from the book and posting them online, with no thought of spoiling it for those who have not yet seen the book. Not to mention, making it possible for some to "drink the milk without buying the cow."

Joni is sooo cool.
