About P--wanting to be in control is not necessarily the same thing as actually being in control!! Often people say that Prince would have had a will, would not have had an addiction, or would have never been manipulated by others because he was a control freak... Well, I don't think a man who attempts to be in control always suceeds. So maybe if we stop assuming P always had control, we can figure out why he died tragically, why he overdosed as many as four times (in 1994, 2010 possibly, onApril 15, 2017 and his death.) and why at times he was unreasonably over-reacting to bootlegs and youtube clips.

it's been said about prince since the beginning, that because he had a chaotic childhood where he was basically abandoned, that he overcompensated by overcontrolling everything. However, human beings don't control shit, they just think they do, I've told people before when they have said "i control everything" , "no you don't, hell, you don't even know if you get your next breath". It's a delusional mindset but it's common. No matter who you are there are an infinite amount of things you have no control over. It's a mental scar for prince and he made it work for him but he never did learn that he didn't really control anything outside of the narrow scope of his work, employees and the like. We all have lessons to learn in life, I think he even said once that that was a lesson that he'd always be learning. | |
