Bank managing Prince's estate punches back against heirs

In the petition to replace Comerica, the Nelsons objected to the bank's removal of unreleased music and videos kept in a vault at Paisley Park Studio in Chanhassen. The materials were trucked to a facility in Los Angeles.

Comerica said it did so because mold and water had damaged some of the materials.

Well shit, that part right there speaks louder to me than any of the rest of this bullshit and is pretty much ALL that needs to be understood.

We knew that years ago.

The vault had flooded and items were on the flour in boxes...and on the floor in the anteroom. Plus there were boxes and boxes of recordings on warehouse shelves in other buildings he owned.

They should just stop this now. These are reputable companies who thus far have worked very hard to montize the estate. They have deals they are working on and even Omarr is saying that at no time at any of the meetings has anyone at Comerica threaten or attacked anyone.

They need to stop listening to LM and find a reputable business consultant.

Comerica, I think, is doing an amazing job.

Is it wrong that I am rooting for a bank to win? If you knew me, you know how hard that is for me to say...LOL.

But greed is greed. Siblings in their 70's who Prince had little to do with and who don't really seem to appreciate his music and who want their money before they kick off and have little concern for the long run or P's legacy...well, I have little sympathy for them. It feels like they are sabotaging his legacy for a pay-off they expect in the next couple years. I wish the estate could just issue each one of them a five million dollar check and send them on their marry way....

Oh this is an interesting read with some annoyingly redacted information - including use of Iron Mountain to present unseen footage to an entertainment partner (probably Netflix) as part of negotiations, the number of tapes catalogued (blanked out) and progress (90% properly entered into an Access database).
