The music was created between Sept 1986 - March 1987 that is more time than he took for Lovesexy
Even though I think Rock Hard in a Funky Place stands out seperately as far as the sound and of course the Camille voices, it still feels like the album

What would a hot BLACK Album show sound like to U?
I'm not seeing a big stadium event for this album
more like Aftershow stops, First Avenue sized clubs

I believe he canceled it because of Dead on It. I think he felt the lyrics would be misunderstood and seen as him disliking rap music.

Many, many years ago, in what seems to be a previous life now, I used to teach English at an evening school and made a large group of elderly ladies listen to Bob George and prepared a worksheet with questions. It was an ESL class and the average age of the participants was 70 or older, only one person was a bit younger. Some of them enjoyed it.

If it was for Sheila's party, how did she sing on it?

I remember hearing the MTV news report that Prince had "Funk album with X-rated lyrics." "Keep on shilling for Big Pharm!"

For me the black album has always been one of Prince's best. In simple terms it's bloomin' amazing.

? It´s actually a great song for writing assignments and conversation classes. There´s a lot going on in the song and you can come up with a lot of questions....and answers. And there are some great discussion topics in there. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! That must have been comedy gold having the old dears break down lines like ‘I pay the rent in this raggedy motherfucker, all you do is suck up food and heat’

To be honest, they found it much more difficult to listen to Marvin Gaye´s What´s Going due to the high falsetto. But they liked Bob George and speculated on why the protagonist´s relationship had gone downhill, and how both could have prevented the breakup. And they discussed domestic violence and jealousy in relationships. We had a lot of fun. But it was difficult to explain the nuances of the term "motherfucker" and its proper use. Cat Let me see ya dance
Basic tracking took place on 7 December 1986 at Sunset Sound in Hollywood, California (on the same day as the gospel-tinged Walkin' In Glory, which engineer Susan Rogers said may have been "to compensate" for Bob George, two days before 2 Nigs United 4 West Compton). The track, along with 2 Nigs United 4 West Compton and Le Grind, were recorded for a birthday party Prince was hosting for Sheila E. on 11 December 1986. -PrinceVault

Although unreleased at the time, Prince played Bob George during every show on the Lovesexy Tour as the penultimate song of the first, darker, half of the show. At the end of the song, the character Prince played was shot, before Prince was 'redeemed', playing Anna Stesia to close the first half. -PrinceVault
