George Michael Freedom Documentary and Prince Just finished watching GM's doco called Freedom. Its amazing that GM and Prince had similar creative and business attributes. In the documentary Prince (1994) says to GM Peace to GM--in which Prince had Slave written on his face. GM included it in his doco and says to me that he saw it as a moment like here is another creative artists who is being stiffled and wanted freedom. Furthermore, there was so much pain in GM life, and although Prince never really shows it but listening to his music I can hear pain in music too. GM died a couple days after putting the finishing touches on this doco. Another similarity is they both were very private and poured it into their song writing. Another connection they had was Stevie Wonder. Authentic and genuine.

I just saw this too. I have a new-found respect (albeit way too late) for GM. He was much smarter than the "business" let him show. Kind of makes me wonder what other artists have be stifled like this. Style is the second cousin to class
