While the Controversy album made me sit up and take note of Prince, 1999 was the album that cemented my love, awe and admiration for this artist. I listened to that album over and over, studying the lyrics and the music for hours. I was totally blown away by what I heard. Then was even more thrilled when all of the 'B' sides started coming out. How Come U Don't Call Me Anymore broke my heart and blew my mind! Irresistable B*tch was a revelation! Hard to believe it's been 35 years....

I was quite irritated when the cd was originally released and it didn't even have DMSR on it as they couldn't compress the data down enough back then to include it. Grrrr! Now we can get 5,000 songs on a thumb drive!
