Do Me baby was the first and probably most basic of his R&B ballads, i tend to think that his slow songs may have influenced black music longer than his minneapolis funk did, they'd stopped imitating the vintage minneapolis sound by the late 80s. Of course, his last major hit was the ballad The Most Beautiful Girl In The World so that was the exception but did any of his other slow songs ever hit? International Lover, Adore, etc.., etc.., all the way up to his last albums with some great ballads that never hit. | |
