I listened to it very carefully. Still, I think this situation bears watching. Let's just say that I am cautiously optimistic; however, only time will tell. |

So do I. Why would anyone think an inventory was not done or is not being done right now at Iron Mountain? Someone was going to have to work on the tapes either at PP (which was not set up for that purpose) or the tapes were going to be sent out somewhere. If Prince ever decided to work on them he would have had to send them out so this is just not a big deal.
Comerica has a fiducary duty to monitize the estate and they are being overseen by the court. So far they appear to be getting things done much better then Breamer which is bizzare considering the long relationship Prince had with Breamer but you never know how compotent any service provider is until the chips are down.
Indeed, Comerica has a fiduciary duty. At this point, however, I don't think it's safe to assume anything. I just think a bit of transparency would be nice. And, that's just my two cents. I'm not seeking consensus. |

Yes. And, based on the published complaints from some of the siblings, it would seem that transparency is lacking for at least some of the heirs. Also, notice that I said that "it would be nice" if they released a plan and an inventory. That is phrased thus because I know that they are not required to reveal anything to the fams. Again, just my humble opinion. [Edited 10/13/17 12:17pm] |

Londell retweeted this this morning: OK I checked Iron Mountain’s site for St. Paul and Bloomington and these are the services provided: Document Imaging Data Management (PC/Servers) Records Management (storing business records off site) Secure Shredding No where is Entertainment Services listed. I couldn’t find on Iron Mountain’s website whether Entertainment Services is in one location or has many. But from a Google search it seems this is located in Los Angeles. So Londell wants us to believe Comerica spent the $$ to send 4 trucks worth of vault material all the way to California when the services they’re looking for are available in Minnesota? And they did this because??? So somebody in California can “steal” this stuff? To piss off fans? I’m really trying to understand his logic here other than he’s full of shit and just stirring the pot to get fans upset. [Edited 10/13/17 4:58am]
Londell is a shit-stirrer. That's why he tweeted this. I don't know what he is up to but I trust him as far as I can throw him. And that ain't far. Can anyone see an angle for him to have kept the vault in MN at the Iron Mountain facilities there? And I am gonna believe people with background in handling this stuff over him any day of the week. I'll bet he has his own ideas who should work the vault.

I'm trying. I was quite shocked by this news emotionally but I guess I'm coming to terms with it. Just, the vault is like his soul to me, you know? I have a stronger emotional connection to that than ashes in an urn. And I feel like he would want things to stay at Paisley. I understand the logic, but it just tore my heart out a bit.

I think Prince once said that he treated his unreleased music as demos that he could cherry pick from and expand on to create other new songs. He also said that he didn't release some songs because they were too good to release at that moment in time.
Yes, he did say this but some people on this board have it in their thick skull that all of the tapes were rotting and molded. When their is not proof of this at all. I am sure Comerica spent money having the tapes hauled away that were moldy and rotted. Not sure how a non living thing can rot but that is the wording that people are choosing to use. I think you need to brush up on your reading skills... Nobody said ALL the contents or tapes were molded... The water damage caused molding on the walls and floor in the vault, nobody said anything about mold on the tapes, there were tapes in his vault that were just laying around there without any proper casing that were gumming up and had a shitload of dust on it, and sure he had racks with tapes stored in casings, but without proper cooling or ventilation shit like mold can cause a lot of damage... Way to go blowing statements out of proportion... Neversin. O(+>NIИ<+)O

I hope there is a way that Iron Mountain can consult with the sound technician specialist Martin Nichols of White House studios in Weston-super-Mare, United Kingdom. He was able to restore and digitize the recently found Bob Marley 1970s concert tapes that had been forgotten in a damp hotel basement in London for 40 years. They were so badly damaged from water that it was initially thought that they were beyond repair. The story is detailed in the article, "‘Spine-tingling’ lost Bob Marley tapes restored after 40 years in a cellar."

FlyOnTheWall makes a valid point! Transparency and respect toward the heirs would go a long way. Sources say, Comerica represented themselves to the heirs one way to get appointed and are now doing what they want now that they are in control without consideration of the heirs and with the intent of prolonging the closing of the estate. Simply put, they should have informed the court due to the value of the contents, but they didn't according to 2 heirs, they just emptied the vault, and they intended to keep the siblings in the dark about moving the stuff which is suspect. Now they got their name all up in the news and now they want to talk restoration. How hard would it have been to document and say "Heirs we are concerned for the content of the vault and we would like to consider using Iron Mountain a facility that is used to store...... Sounds pretty simple and transparent to me. I 'm sure we would be just as upset if someone moved estate assets of ours without us having any knowledge. I'm wondering if they did it because the heirs have been vocal about considering releasing the music to the fans a la an NPG Music Club type format directly without them or the present entertainment advisors involvement? It's funny how things get when something is put in the press, now the violators want to play nice and bend the truth. I recall a similar stunt occured with Bremer when they were considering selling Prince's mothers house which Omar lives in, that is until he went to TMZ. "Oh Omar, we didn't mean it, you can stay in the house." Transparency and respect goes a long way and would have kept Comerica out of the media, they are heirs and it's quite obvious they are not being treated as such.

Hmmmm, seems to me that if any of the heirs have legitimate concerns over what Comerica is doing and if they are "playing" by the rules, they need to address that with the judge presiding over the case, Judge Eide, at the Carver County District Court, since he is the one watching over the estate proceedings, right? He's the decider . They shouldn't be running to the court of public opinion though, as this last incident has shown that was a bad decision and upset fans needlessly. Who could be advising that course of action though and why would they do that given there is legal recourse to resolve their concerns? The fans can't fix anything for them.

It appears that after she got what she wanted, she didn't like the playing rules. But again, Judge Eide is overseeing all of it and whatever is happening is more than likely appropriate in regard to Comerica's actions and perhaps that's why this was taken public? Very suspect, but what do I know
