The One U Wanna C

So Far, So Pleased

Right The Wrong

Fury - could definitely be something by Jake Owen or in the newer country genre

Baby Knows - same as above

Guitar - the idea of a musician preferring his instrument over a chick, total country

TMBGITW

Purple Rain is a country song under all the pop vibes

The Most Beautiful Girl in the World is a straight up Soul Song. Unless you mean the country roots of soul music. So many great black country artists that weren't called country. All catagorized as "race music".

For me it's 'Shy' and 'I Wonder' mostly because of the vocal harmonies.

If Prince had ever played The Grand Ole Opry, he would have done The One U Wanna C and Purple Rain. Anything else would have made the audience react the way the audience in that country joint in The Blues Brothers reacted when they played Gimme Some Lovin'. cool cool cowboy

I've always said they could play The One U Wanna C at a NASCAR event and no one would bat an eye.

Purple Rain is as Midwest and country as it gets. Even Big Chick told Prince that was a country song when he was putting it together.

Also...When Doves Cry works pretty well as a bluegrass song.
