Prince 4Ever 4 x Vinyl box release 15/09/17 For those that don't know 4Ever is getting a vinyl release 15th of September, probably quite limited compared to the cd release so grab yours while you can. I only found out about this today!

Seen a few pics, it does look very nice. TBH if i'm gonna splurge on a vinyl greatest hits i'll probably seek out the vinyl pressings of The Hits 1 & 2. Obviously serious collectors will already have them but i'm not in that deep with my collecting. [Edited 9/13/17 5:03am] | |

I think the box and contents look a decent quality, certainly much better than the cd release I'd recommend pick up rather than regret it and have a hard time getting later on | |

The sound from this box set is very sweet, quite expensive but it's worth it and I would reccommend any Prince fan to add this to their collection. I wish WB did the same with the PR 2017 expansion set on a box set vinyl edition. | |

Has anyone on here got The Hits 1 and 2 on vinyl? Any comments on it? Is it worth seeking out or is it just basically the cd pressed to vinyl, I know it was only released in Germany so it wasn't exactly a high priority release. [Edited 3/31/18 3:36am] | |

Both are hard to acquire on vinyl, Hits 2 especially. I only have Hits 1 and it's nice, however from a collection point of view there is not much going for it, it's a very basic package. This 4Ever box set on the other hand is much more inclusive. The other thing is the cost, you will be looking to pay around £100+ for hits 1, not sure on hits 2 as like I say it's rarer and I don't have it so can't comment, combined though your looking £200+ for both! mmm, check discogs, right now it has decent copies of each for about a hundred euro including delivery. It's way outside my budget anyway but maybe if I fall into a pile of money some day. Mint condition copy prices are astronomical of course. [Edited 3/31/18 3:37am] | |

Near Mint starts around £110 for hits 2 and around £90+ for Hits 1 on Discogs currently inclusive of P&P, I personally wouldn't buy anything below this quality as it's a bit of a lottery below this grade, "good" condition as we know is pretty rubbish. Either way they ain't cheap! | |

I would gladly accept it as a gift, however I have the album already and played it a good number of times. This should have came with it from the get go, little too late for me to run and buy it myself. HOWEVER, I am still the fans have been heard and it is being released!! Straight Jacket Funk Affair
