No wonder why Prince kept her around! Trying to be a little silly, but when I saw her in GB, I was amazed. She is hot and has talent.

The second album... My mother passed away in '95. When she was diagnosed in cancer in '94, I had a deal with London Records. Steve Fargnoli hooked me up with them. My contract expired with Prince in 1993 on April 15... which I remember because it was seven years to the day. When my mom passed...I didn't want to sing. I don't think I handled it as professionally as I should have. I wrote a letter to my manager that said “You're just too busy going through the corporate world, because you don't know what the fuck you're doing.” And I faxed it. And we were dropped... I (later) recorded (the album Two) with Chris Bruce and it was cathartic. I had a new boyfriend at the time and that was a nightmare. (I) just had to get it all out. That record came and it was supposed to come. (The song) "Gorgeous Wonder" is about my daughter and she just saved me in so many ways. I just ended up going into interior design through friends. It was very trying and tricky. I remember (one time) that I was bartending and the RZA (from the Wu-Tang Clan) came in and said “you're Jill Jones” and I was like “No, I don't understand” and I pretended like I was French. Don't let your pride swallow you up...because that is a mistake. Everything's fixable and your good friends would never make you feel bad about it...

Jill didn't like the "Boom Boom" song.She said it is an older song (from 1982?) that Prince reworked for her,but she still wasn't happy with it.Her planned second album on Paisley Park was never released.

I am surprised she did a video for this since she said she hated the song. Also notice another associate who had a bad time with Steve.

Prince probably insisted that she do a video,just to see if it will work or not.....and to convince her that the song could be a hit.

"My Baby Knows How To Love Me" and "Flesh and Blood" were two other songs that Prince was going to use for her second album

It is a really good song and not as sexual as she made it out to be. Tame for the times.

Can't U feel the pumpin', baby?
Boom boom, pumpin', baby
Can't U feel the beat of my heart?

B-b-b-boom boom {x2}
B-boom boom {x3}

Come a little closer, baby
Put your hand on my chest
Feel the beat of my heart pumping through my dress
Something's on fire, baby
It's burning me up
Desire, it must be cuz your body's 2 much

CHORUS:
Can't U feel the beat of my heart?
Boom boom
Can't U feel the beat just a pumpin' 4 U?

Come a little closer, baby
I promise not 2 bite
U could tie me down, I wouldn't put up a fight
U can tear my clothes off
Cut my brand new dress
Something tells me U just might be the best

Boom boom

Can't U feel the pumpin', baby?
Boom boom, pumpin', baby
Can't U feel the beat of my heart?
Can't U feel the pumpin', baby?
Boom boom, pumpin', baby
Can't U feel the beat of my heart?

Come a little closer, baby
Put your hand on my chest
Feel the beat of my heart pumping through my dress
Something's on fire, baby
It's burning me up (It's burning me up)
Desire, it must be cuz your body's 2 much

CHORUS {x3}
(Boom boom)
(Just a pumpin' baby, baby, just a pumpin' baby) {x2}
Can't U feel it? {x3}
Can't U feel the beat of my heart?
B-b-boom boom
Can U... hehe... my heart... boom... hehe

Boom, Boom (Can't U Feel The Beat Of My Heart) is an unreleased song recorded in Summer 1982 at Prince's Kiowa Trail Home Studio, Chanhassen, MN, USA (along with several other tracks that would re-appear over the next several years). In Summer 1989, Prince revamped the track at Paisley Park Studios, Chanhassen, MN, USA, for use on the proposed second album by Jill Jones (along with My Baby Knows, from the same sessions, and Flesh And Blood and Am I Without U?). A video clip was produced for the song, indicating that it may have been intended as the first single from the album, but the album was not completed, as Prince and Jill Jones disagreed on the direction of the album, with Jill Jones wanting to sing more mature songs than Prince was providing.

I've said this before: Jill's debut album should have been prepared and released much earlier.In 83/84,Prince had no shortage of songs for her ("Boom Boom" was originally recorded in 1982) and she would have been able to benefit from Prince's massive popularity back then.Late 1984 or early '85 is when her album should have came out.

Jill Jones' role in the Graffiti Bridge movie was originally much larger than what she ended up playing. Kim Basinger was intended as the original lead in the movie, but when she and Prince parted company shortly before filming began, Prince simply combined Kim's and Jill's parts together and gave them to Ingred Chavez. Jill was then given a much smaller role as Prince's girlfriend.

While flying to Minneapolis to film the movie, Jill read the revamped script and began to tear it up and started to throw pages all around the cabin. Jill retired to the bathroom while her PA had to walk around the plane asking fellow passengers for pages of the script back.

Jill later said that if she had not been on the plane already she would have turned right round and returned home.

Jill did turn up in Minneapolis but she refused to talk to Prince on the set of Graffiti Bridge. In fact she refused to communicate with anyone except in French. Prince got upset and told Jill "If you don't smile and act better round here, then this is your replacement," and then showed Jill a photograph. Jill replied "Oh, an old girlfriend?" She stayed to complete the film but her relationship with Prince was never the same.

Prince, Madonna and I were the original lineup for Graffiti Bridge. That movie was strictly written for Prince, Madonna and myself. Period. Exclamation point.
That movie was actually written on the Lovesexy Tour. Everyone in that movie replaced us. Prince actually wrote the movie and most of it was what we experienced on the Lovesexy Tour. Madonna pulled out of the movie and I left Prince; I quit. So, he had to revamp the script.
That's when he got Ingrid Chavez and everyone else. But, Mavis Staples was one person that was originally supposed to be in the movie. She was always part of the movie. Sheila E. was part of the movie. Everyone else was a replacement. I don't mean to say it that way, it sounds kind of harsh and mean, but, I know the original script.
I was in the studio with Madonna and Prince when they were discussing the script. The story was totally different. I remember they were arguing over the script, bragging on each other, talking about each other's shoes and I was laughing. Madonna said to Prince "Cat and I should have a dance battle" and Prince said (speaking in a low raspy voice) "I don't think so. I don't think you want to do that. I don't think you want to dance against Cat." That's just how he said it. I'll never forget it.
That was two powerful people, together, in the same space—and me. I was more like a bystander listening and watching.
But, the whole movie changed.

Yeah I remember this story smile Jill angrily walked to the restroom and her assistant was going around the plane saying "can I have that page,please....yeah the one in your fettuccini"? LMAO

When you think about it,Jill got a raw deal in both movies (PR and GB).Neither movie featured a song by her and her character was unimportant.In GB,she had to lip-sync someone else's vocals ("Love Machine").
