Purple Rain Trending on Apple Music

I just launched my music app and went to the search bar and noticed that Purple Rain was in the trending section. This is quite unusual and I’m wondering if there’s any particular reason why?

I’ve googled it and I think it’s because someone performed it on the X-Factor on Saturday.

It's the anniversary of Purple Rain's release as a single.

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Yep, and probably that music show audition that keeps popping up in my YT suggestions. I've not watched it, don't care to, really. I hate people covering that song.

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

Also the new Kingsman movie features Lets Go Crazy in the opening scene apparently, I would say thats what's driving it.

So do I. There have been a couple of times where I've been to reggae shows, of all things and suddenly somebody like Ali Campbell from UB40 gets up there and does a remake and it's like... "No. This is wrong." disbelief
