Pre-Madhouse Madhouse

So - I'm shuffling around on Spotify and listening to Yes and Susannah's Pyjamas. Am I alone (happy to be in a minority of one, here) in wishing we had an album of this? I know The Flesh was just a bit previous, but this is Pre-Madhouse Madhouse. I adore these two tracks. They are part of a beautiful whole.

I also look at the instrumental Family cuts, as well as the Flesh Jam Sessions as precursors to Madhouse. It's honestly one of the most exciting parts of his work. Eric Leeds is the star - I could listen to him play for days.

Keep your headphones on.

Without wishing to sound like a complete geek, there is also the variety within each of the sessions - The Flesh, The Family and Madhouse have common denominators but have very different flavours. They are so enjoyable to listen to.

I agree. Even among the Flesh sessions things from the Levi/Sheila/Eric/Prince sessions, Everybody's Jam session and solo Prince/Eric recordings have three pretty dinstinct flavours. Very different albums could have been made from those December 85/January 86 sessions, depending on the material you'd pick.
