A Prince mural in Cleveland's Ohio City neighborhood has been vandalized.

I live in cleveland and I never knew that mural was there. Thank goodness they have people to fix it. Now I have to go down there and check it out ...Why is he eating a doughnut???...It's still a cool looking mural though.

Not sure I follow you - what in particular is amusing about spray painting phrases like "Fetch dis dick," "Catch Ent A Ciel," and "My Back Wrist" on the mural?

The mural was painted with him eating a donut. The donut is not the graffiti.

I was born in Akron, (smaller nearby city). Just another reason to disdain Cleveland - although the Indians are kicking azz right now.

Hah no, but when the Cavs won the Championship, the T-Shirt around town had a pic of LeBron with the caption - You're Welcome, Cleveland...since he IS from Akron (but we're not bitter).

"Disdain" Cleveland? I'm sure the same thing would've happened in Akron or anywhere else. Cleveland is not worthy of a Prince mural??? We don't have any "Disdain" for Akron up here. It's all North East Ohio love in Cleveland.

Until the second photo was posted, there was no visual clue and nobody saying that this is what had happened. I certainly started reading the thread thinking it was actually pretty funny that he had been painted eating a doughnut. Now I'm sitting here wondering why the heck he was intentionally painted eating a doughnut in the first place.

I don't have any idea--he looks cool doing it, though. And that ain't easy to do.

Maybe a doughnut shop paid for the mural? I very much doubt if Prince was opposed to doughnuts, especially pink ones with sprinkles. I really like the mural. They got the look and attitude right.

I live in Columbus Ohio and will eventually get back to Cleveland to see this mural. According to this Facebook post from a donut shop in Columbus, Prince was not opposed to donuts. https://m.facebook.com/Bu...0426777411
