The first ever Category 5 hurricane on record to hit the United States. At least until Hurricane Camille in 1969. But, all of the references tht I find to it, don't mention names in the articles, but it is called Hurricane Annie. It probably should have a "b" name since it was the second hurricane of that year.

Keep in mind he is referencing current events. Signs of the Times.....

And Prince never repeated himself. thank God he only used the number 17 one time!

"Nate" is also definitely short for "Nathan."

People will always appropriate interpretation to lyrics that the writer might not have thought of--some agreeable , others not so much . Like NorthC suggests we can all beleive whatever we want to. At any rate, this kind of discussion can be pretty entertaining!

I think he is referring to Annie Christian from Controversy. She is portrayed as the Antichrist in the song and represents the Metaphorical ills of the world. He is representing Annie as a Hurricane doing harm to the house of God, typical actions of the Antichrist.
