Obviously, it's great seeing these videos up on Youtube now. It has made me wonder...is the Partyman extended video the only time Matt Fink appeared without a doctor's outfit on? I'm sure he did not appear as Dr Fink first up...it was a prisoner's outfit, wasn't it? But - in post-Dr Fink world, was this the only time he appeared not in surgical gown?

Not a deep nor meaningful thread, just a curiosity.

For the record, I do enjoy this version of the song.

He wore a tux in "Girls and Boys".

I think "Uptown" was the first video Matt is in the Dr's outfit. As to a Prisoner outfit? he was in stripes in the American Bandstand appearance but I do not think it was a prisoner get up.

Matt was in a gold jacket in the "Why You Wanna Treat Me So Bad" video. He is hard to see it the "I Wanna Be Your Lover" video...

He changed from the prison outfit because someone in Rick James' band did that. Prince said, "what else ya got?" and Fink said he could be a doctor. Prince loved it.

How so? I adore this video - espcially the purple and orange combination...

I can remember being completely confused by the band...who were these two interlopers? No Eric, no Sheila...? Prince looked like he was having so much fun.
