And miss me with the strawman argument that if I bring up that Prince was against such self idolatry of placing a statue of himself in city hall then I must be okay with a Columbus statue. A mural is less permanent and less official. And Dylan is also from there and just as critical an artist that seemingly deserves such recognition as well. But you wouldn't hear of EITHER of them even contemplating having such a gaudy tribute as a statue there. They were and are huge artists of merit but still way to humble for that and Prince was deep into religion where praising anyone other than Jesus etc was blasphemy to him. I think many of the issues reported her have to do with all of your desires rather than what Prince etc would want etc. y'all are just as bad as Warner Bros is purported to be. The woman who started the petition has a lot of good points IMO. Long shot that it would happen but mural, sculpture or painting are all tribute art. Doesn't make any difference how long they last. Christopher Columbus had his 15 minutes. Next. I live in New Orleans. I would be thrilled if they put a statue of Louis Armstrong or Mahalia Jackson on top of the needle where Robert E Lee was thankfully removed.
