Fiction That Mentions Prince

My sister, who's an avid reader of Jo Nesbo's books, told me there was a chapter in Nemesis where a character was listening to Prince.

Do you recall any other pieces of fiction that mention Prince?

I'm an avid book reader but can't remember exactly where I may have read a reference to Prince in a book right now. But, I do know that in The Breakfast Club in the beginning Ally Sheedy's character is listening to a Prince song on her head phones! I think the song was DMSR. biggrin

She didn't have headphones on. She had the 1999 album in front of her.

Ally was a huge Prince fan. She wore a Purple Rain t-shirt for long segment in Maid To Order.

With the headphones, maybe you're thinking of Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman singing "Kiss".

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

There was some comic book quite a few years ago that quoted "Sometimes it Snows In April" on the cover. I feel like it was Spiderman, but I can't remember. It was a good decade+ ago.

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

There's a scene where she has headphones on and she flips the hood of her parka up on her head and then quickly lays it down on the table, obscuring her face. She's listening to Prince at this point.
