Perry Farell (peripheral) is a very fun musician. Prince went after the big grand superstar persona, thats something Perry Farell has never really pursued.
But comparing their approach to music these days, i think Perry is more free spirited and less contrived than Prince's stuff. Perry Farells solo album was kinda lousy/flaky. But I loved Porno For Pyros. "Pets" is brilliant. | |

I love 'em both...Perry's got more of that flaky, post-hippy, done-too-may-drugs, spaced-out creative vibe.. I seem to relate to that more these days than P's vibe... it's too bad the Lollapalooza line-up is soo unappealing to me, cos I'd love to see Jane's again... | |

I heard that the set-up's pretty cool...The Target Center will house "the main-stage", 1st Avenue will be "the 2nd stage" and 7th Street Entry will be "the local stage"...and I guess they're blocking off the whole area? Sounds pretyy cool, but I just can't bring myself to go... | |
