The Grisham's appeal did not go in their favor. Unless they go higher, their heir claims are over.

Now stop trying to derail the topic which is something I notice people do when something is being discussed they decide they do not want to know about.

Fact Pheadra apparently did have a POA as Comerica is not making any statements thus far saying she did not have authority or that the authority did not include the ability to execute contracts. To me this is major. How does a guy known for being a control freak allow someone to sign business contracts on his behalf? This Tidal deal was not some guy cutting the grass this was a major deal concerning the distribution of his music.

Red flag to me that something was going with him to make such a decision or maybe something fraudulent was going on with the POA because now the very person who signed on his behalf does not want to be held responsible for anything.

This is much more important than a Urn. I will be discussing this matter from here on out not you or this nonsense about the urn.

Just because Comerica has not mentioned the issue of Phaedra in correspondence to the Judge doesnt mean its not an issue.

Comerica has requested Tidal to provide "All documents and communications that evidence, refer or relate to the July 23 Power of Attorney"

By requesting these documents means it could still be an issue.

Also, the fact that Phaedra requested immunity from liability is a red herring.

I feel the same about Phaedra. It may have not been intentional, but her immunity from liability defintely has some smoke to it. This will be interesting on how it plays out. The way Tidal is setup, from the documents, seems shady, but I can (and usually am) be wrong.

Those people are nuts. They look nothing like Prince and I would think they would have reached out to him when he was alive and well. Scammers and their crazy ass attorneys who filled their heads with get rich quick plans.

But no where do they say it is a fake document. They only question the clause concerning his image and according to Tidal that is only pertaining to his image being used to promote other streaming services which we know from Prince's own comments he would not have been promoting.

It seems to me their whole case rest on if anyone in Prince organization had the right to sign this agreement with Tidal. If they really believed it was fake why would they just not come out and say so?

Someone sent those files to Tidal after Prince died and I think it was Phaedra who had probaly already been fired from her job by Lonnie and releashing them may have been beyond the scope of her authority.

I do not think for one minute that Prince worked with Tidal/Aspiro and did not receive equity or some form of payment. He promoted that service right up until the week before he passed.

Who would believe he was sending videos and music to Tidal for free? Remember Tidal is a subsidary of Aspiro. This is not some ex-rapper running a business out of his basement and being represented by the Mickey Mouse law firm.

To imply that docs are fake would meant that meaning parties are involved with a massive fruad that could easily be uncovered by the employees that worked for Prince who should have been present when this deal was put together and could certainly verfity their own signature.

They are also questioning the alleged Power of Attorney.

That is why they are requesting the documents from Tidal that evidence a Power of Attorney.

This is not questioning to me

"All documents and communications that evidence, refer or relate to the July 23 Power of Attorney"

Seems like this is a part of the discovery. Why not just come out and say it is not real. They are looking for additional communication concerning it which should be avaliable via NPG LLC attorney, manager or Paisley Park server.
How likely do you think it is that this document is fake? I bet the estate managers wish that it is fake which would be going against what Prince wanted and should tell you the mindset. sad
-- See below what Tidal had to say in 7 and 12. They are naming names of associates who knew what was going on and probaly have correspondence. Did these people fall off the face of the earth? We know Trevor is working at Paisley Park.

12. The term “Power of Attorney” refers to all documents signed by the Decedent appointing Phaedra Ellis-Lamkins his power of attorney, including, but not limited to, the power of attorney dated April 17, 2014 (RN00010082).

7. Any and all non-privileged documents from or maintained by former employees or agents of the NPG Entities or any of the other Prince-Related Entities regarding the claims and defenses raised in this action, whether maintained on web-based email accounts or otherwise, including, but not limited to, documents from or maintained by the following individuals: Meron Bekure, Phaedra Ellis-Lamkins, Diana Frappier, Trevor Guy and Joshua Welton.

When I read, the best to my ability, my take away was the Comerica is looking at numerous "angles" on how to argue the case. I thought Comerica's wording was done itentionally not to accuse or threaten Tidal with allegations. I took it as a tactic used by lawyers. Being sublte.

With that, I would imagine, again, I am not a lawyer, that Comerica would have reached out to employees and Phaedra to get copies of their paperwork, then compare them to what Tidal provides via discovery.

I am not sure if that is the norm. I was under the impression, Tidal is dragging it's feet. Again, the jargon in the documents goes over my head at times.

The nonsense about the urn, started when you stated that the urn was no longer in PP. You didn't know what you were talking about. Now get on with the topic.

I am with you. As soon as these "claims" are dismissed and all appeals are exhausted, the heirs can focus on getting the Estate going (when it is released from probate).

The Tidal suit is another big hurdle. But a necessary endeavor if there is a violation on their behalf.

You could be right but again you do not need to look for angles if the document is false or altered in some manner. I am sorry either there was a POA that gave Pherdra authority to execute contracts or one has been fabricated. I just do not see how this should be difficult to prove. What I do know is that Tidal is where Prince wanted his music on Tidal and that is a matter of record. I can assume that some heirs do not want the music on Tidal because the subsciption base is smaller and the revenue will not be as much as it would if it was on other platforms however, I do not see how the heirs can break the contract because it is not what they want. If some of you think Tidal has done something sneaky like fabricated a legal document but nothing is sneaky about breaking a contract that was already in place because it is not convenient anymore you lost me.
This did not work in the Quincy Jones/MJ case a few weeks ago. Not sure why anyone thinks it will work if this Tidal contract is real. Somebody sent those files to Tidal and it was not Jay-Z or Prince. Is it not logical to think that someone at NPG LLC was involved with this and knows exactly what transpired and maybe calming up for financial reasons? You already had two crooks, a bank, a law firm and two associates go out of there way to lie and committee fraudulent acts. Is it really such a stretch to expect it to continue.

This may sound ridiculous to some, but why was the aircraft lease in the name of the fitness center, and not in the name of any other entity?

It's common for people to lease flight time on an aircraft that is owned or leased to another entity.

Instead of owning/leasing his own plane, Prince (or anyone else with the means and contact with the fitness center, where Kirk was a ersonal trainer (?)) just books a flight if the owner/leasee isn't using it that day. It was never a PRN plane.

The Court of Appeals dismissed the girls appeal of the Judge's Orders naming the heirs.

Their other appeal is still active and they had Oral Arguments on July 26, 2017.

They are awaiting a written decision from the Court of Appeals.

I do not have time to proofread everything I read and I am victim of autocorrect gone bad and realize this is not my job. I am just not going to put that much time into it. Also I do not have the power to make anyone leave the org.
My bank and real estate holdings say different about what I know about money. Another orger already broke down the finances of Paisley Park for you so you may want to check your math skills. Do you think Graceland would want to manage Paisley Park if they did not think they could make money? Who really does not have knowledge about money?
Now get back to ranting about the sibs and how they are making so much money showing people an urn and worrying about Prince's unclean rugs. There are much bigger things going on that are beyond your grasp.

I had read that this was the plane Prince used all of the time. I didn't understand why it would be in the name of the fitness center. I have never seen the center listed as one of Prince's assets, so I assume he paid for it for Kirk but his name or that of any of his companies does not appear on existing ownership documents. Another piece of the puzzle ...

It could have been an arrangement for Prince to keep his travel low-key. Kirk leased/rented the jet from the owner of the fitness center. It is a good relationship, the owner recieves money for the plane use, helping with expenses. Prince can travel in a private manner, does not have the overhead of maintaining an expensive aircraft.

I think Kirk was more involved in daily affairs that is believed. He wore a lot of "hats". I do not think the plane was a shady deal. If Prince was downsizing and trying to control costs, then this was a smart move. Also, speculating, but maybe this also provided Prince more comfort in travelling than commercial air.

I hope the estate has that Turks and Caicos estate heavily insured, because Irma is heading in.

Physician, heal thyself.

I'm very glad that you are not involved on any level with anything relating to litigating the estate.

Why are you so obsessed with it? If it were your family, would you want people on a message board telling you what and what not to do? Just let them sort it out.

And, no. You do far FAR more than simply "ask questions". You posit yourself as the final arbiter or all things Prince from what I can tell and seem to have an odd fixation with "protecting" his image and his legacy for reasons I can't ascertain.

You're a strange cat and rather hard to debate with, primarily becasue it's always obvious that you don't even READ what people respond to you with and see yourself as the penultimate judge in every thread you postt in. Occasionally, you seem to come off as knowing what you're talking about but mostly you;re just annoying - and I certainly am not pulling that fucking conclusion out of thin air. You ever go back and look at exactly just how many members here you turn off with your shit and how many people here beg for an ignore button just so they can IGNORE YOU?

You should consider that. I would if I were met with the overwhelmingly negative reaction from people here that you seem to wear as a badge of honor. A normal person would take a moment and self reflect. You just GO AND GO AND GO AND GO, as if having the most posts here made you Queen of the Org™.

You strike me as a an obsessed fan with an unhealthy devotion to someone you never even met, let alone KNEW, who is sad that she never had the chance and is bitter about it, and do weird shit like insulting Prince's family members and telling eveyone what's best for them and what they SHOULD do.

Sorry for the rant but you make it sooooo easy.

Genuinely curious: why do so many of you care so much about this? None of us are getting any checks.

Ten threads on it?

Wow.

It'll get sorted out. Chill, folks.
