Everybody can gladly kick my ass. I was watching Jeopardy, which I am usually great at. They were doing a subject about Prince's song Purple Rain. They even gave the lyrics, said it was Prince, and my dumb ass still didn't get it--Purple Fucking Rain!! I have only heard that song more than god. I would easily know Days of Wild or Dolphin, but not PR??!! So ashamed.

Sadly, I've done this type of thing a couple of times. Somebody will ask me something Prince related that any "real" Prince fan should know, and I'll have a brain freeze at that particular moment, only to realize later it was something I should know. I think it's because some of us have so much information in our heads collected for so many years that it all gets jumbled together or pushed to the back of our minds so that we can perform other normal, daily duties. Even with the release of all the new leaks, I'll see something that I think I don't have, and then when I check my collection, I'm like, "Damn, I do have that." Oh, well, what's a purple person to do?
