I think it's right up his alley tbh. He trademarked loads of stuff, did all kinds of merchandise, had all kinds of ideas for stuff.

I don't know, I'm just not feeling it. I just think it's another way of making money off of his name. I just feel "meh" about it. I don't think you can pin Prince down to one shade of purple when he represents all shades of Purple (to me anyway).

Jay-Z has a Pantone colour named after him "Jay-Z Blue" as part of a car deal he did and P always came across as an innovator of ideas rather than following something that's always been done.

Just my opinion. I guess I've gotta get used to change now P isn't here to decide things anymore.

I agree he's changed but he had the copyright on his symbol so Pantone has agreed this with the Estate otherwise it would just be the name "Love Symbol #2".

I guess there'll be a lot of Purple folk redecorating soon....lol

This is about Pantone getting paid and hopefully the estate by selling the color. The local news at noon said it was based on his last piano. (still hate saying those words)

Pretty. More of a blue violet.

As someone who has crazy good color acuity, I can tell you these colors don't match, at all. I wouldn't sew fabric in the color on the left with thread in the color on the right.

Yeah, they aren't exact. The one on the right seems lighter to me, and redder. The one on the left is darker.

wow, how hard it must have been to 'develop' this color. I develop tens of colors daily and don't behave as i invented warm water.

They even didnt have to think about the shade...

That said, i like the color.

To be honest, I'm pretty consumed with color, wasn't Prince? I relate to that small thing.
