Please tell me Prince played guitar in Boy's Club... ...Because that song is bangin'! I love that guitar tab which is running throghout the whole song. How involved was Prince in the arrangement? This is one of my new jams after We Can Fuck. Could I put it in my pure Prince playlist? Or is it just Sheila E playing around with the arrangement? I've already playing this to my friends telling them this is Prince doing his thing (except percussion and obvisously singing) and they are blown away. | |

Yep, but this link says otherwise. That's why I'm confused.

This is essentially 'Oliver's House '86'. This is one of the earliest tracks recorded specifically for the third album. At this early stage, given its effort in partially recreating a track from the better received TGL album, and given the 'uncertain involvement' of the other bandmates, I would count this as being entirely P-produced. . Given P's loaded schedule throughout Summer/Autumn 1986, and also with mainstream taste for the early/mid-1980s production design dissipating throughout that year, it is no surprise that the final album veered away somewhat from its original principles. .
