Prince Bedroom/Sleeping Quarters at Paisley Park? I wonder what that room looked like? I asked because he showed how his bedroom was decorated in the 3121 house in LA in a book which I have? Wonder did Tyka other family members go up and remove or take some things for safe keeping? Or did they leave everything like it was on the night of April 20, 2016?
Who do you think was the last lady to sleep on that bed up there?

I bet it is more similar in decor/apperance to the Toronto Mansion, Very clean & bright. I would imagine the family would have taken things they wanted to cherish, it's how it usually works for when a loved one passes, don't think that would be any different here. They are still just regular people

You can see it in the Love 4 Oneanother special, but that's in 94. The upstairs were mostly offices and a huge meeting room until he moved back from Callie. I know the upper left was all renovated into living space. I'm not sure about the upper mid section. There was a gym there last time I was inside that part and that was 2001

One would hope that they never show this area of PP on the tours, but I have a feeling it will be shown some day. Maybe for ULTRA VIP (more $$$) or something like that.

40 years on, Graceland has yet to allow anybody access to Elvis' bedroom, despite the fact that would guarantee them to make a lot of $$$. I believe they are taking the same tact with PP.
I am however surprised that they didn't show the basement/vault area, and parking garage, as those spaces I wouldn't think would be any more "personal" than his studio tour. Oh to be a PP Archivist, would be something else. "Knowledge is preferable to ignorance. Better by far to embrace the hard truth than a reassuring faith. And I bet he had some cold ass guitar amps stacked up in the basement because it is written he liked to hang on to stuff even from the past. [Edited 7/24/17 16:30pm]

Oh to be a PP Archivist, would be something else. I wonder if the vault area isn't cramped (overflowing) and wouldn't allow a good flow through there? I remember sering video of it years ago with Ingrid as chaperone and it seemed quite small considering how much is stored in that area. Being an archivist would be a dream come true. I applied at PP after he passed hoping to get a job behind the scenes sorting things, or even cleaning all the different areas in PP. But all they were (and probably still are?) hiring were tour guides and concession stands (food, souvenirs, etc) workers. It's a hurtful place, the world, in and of itself. We don't need to add to it. We all need one another. ~ PRN

. The reason they are not taking people to the underground vault exterior and parking areas is because the only route is via that elevator -- unless they build sidewalks and make people walk around outdoors. If there's a stairwell, it wouldn't handle a crowd but I've never seen a mention of one. Welcome to "the org", laytonian… come bathe with me.

What were Chanhassen's fire cofes in 1986? Those were not public areas PLUS there was always the option of walking out through the garage. As long as there was an alternate exit, no stairway would be required. . Seriously, I read all the arguments about modifications that would have to be made to get people into the garage area, without using the elevator. At one point, they were talking about an enclosed walkway, required during cold or inclement weather, but that would destroy the look of the building. . I have been thinking the same thing. I was hoping that we'd see the garage as it was/is. And the guitars displayed how PRINCE displayed them, same basement/vault area. But it also does seem like they are not opening it all up all at once, to have something to entice revisits maybe? Like during that first October, having the sign saying 'Lovesexy, coming soon' on that room. I get it as a business model - they want to be a lasting draw, not something everyone sees once and is like 'seen it all, I'm good' Dance where y'are, just groove y'all.

I would say most of the beds were for show. My guess is Prince hardly ever slept and when he did, he probably flopped in an easy chair near the studio. More likely beds were set up for musical guests and live in secuirty/drug dealers. He may have used some of the beds for sex as well rather than sleeping. . From what I read, he had a bedroom up stairs above Studio A where he took girls for sex and the Egg out the back was also a bedroom sleeping complex and at least one flat in the bowels of the park too. After he bowled the house in the mid 2000s, he was living at the Park full time and of course renting in LA when he was there (I suspect as he got older, he became more a of a snowbird - even though he was at PP a lot in the winter - those famous shots of him locked out by Judith Hill). Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name
