Prince & Quincy's story are pretty much the same, how could Wesley steal the part when the song was supposed to a duet, duh!
Because Prince would have been in Wesley's role. It wasn't always built to be a duet. It's easily a solo song, obviously. (Frankly I think "Just Good Friends" was a forced duet, or should have been a duet w/ Siedah.)

So, if Wesley's telling the truth and, as you state, the song wasn't always built to be a duet, why the need to have this meeting with Prince and MJ with Quincy? Because based on Prince and Quincy's rendition of the story, Prince never accepted the invitation to sing on the record. As such, how could Wesley "steal" a role from Prince that Prince never accepted? Thus, how could Wesley "blow Prince out of the water" if Prince never auditioned because, again, he never accepted the invitation to sing on the record? To be clear, I love Wesley Snipes, non-tax payment and all, but his story just doesn't seem to add up.
Do you really think that Prince would have auditioned for a bit part in a Michael Jackson video? Give me a break. How insulting. "Its Wesley's role" because someone had to be the chump who MJ says "your butt is mine." to.. Prince didn't want to do it (songwise) so Wesley did (videowise). NO shame in taking a role like that as an up-and-comer but for Prince to have been asked to play a chump to MJ was kind of ridiculous and Wesley is revising history to make himself look good. For some reason, people still think Prince is the douchebag in this situation because he turned down King-of-Pop Michael Jackson. If good acting was the concern then MJ wouldn't have been "cast" as the bad-ass who shows up Wesley Snipes.

I like Wesley Snipes too, but if he keeps coming out with this kind of stuff all bets are off. No need to take any shots at Prince because we all know if P wanted to do it, it would have been his. Smart move by Prince, but then I am not an MJ fan so that works for me.
Welcome to "the org", Mumio…they can have you, but I'll have your love in the end

--But you can't steal a role when the other person did not want it in the first place.
when did wesley snipes start sounding like an effeminate British man?... Tina Turner did that trick also...interesting...
Well, Tina actually lives in Europe and that kind of stuff rubs off on some folks real easily. I'm like that, I subconciously mimic perfectly the accent of the region I'm living in after a couple of weeks. I don't notice but others do. Kind of embarrassing because sometimes people really think you're faking it but it happens naturally.

i understand about Tina's reason...but i wasnt aware Wesley had lived abroad also...i thought maybe he had picked that up in jail

I couldn't explain his unless he's working on a movie and I've heard some actors get very caught up in their roles its hard for them to turn it off completely, that's about all I got. I really can't imagine a proper british accent being spoken heavily in an American jail.

There's no British accent going on there. Not in the slightest. Sounds more like an American trying to be high society... All posh sounding. A bit like Frasier and Niles Crane. Fake as fuck. Maybe he really does think himself as a thespian.
