his playing was sloppy, often, but he had such a great feel that it made up for it. And...there's plenty of footage of him tearing shit up in a good way. Then we have his studio work which was often pristine. He would have gotten better with time as any musician does.

WTF? I am old enough to remember Hendrix who in his very short career was often spectacular but often high and sloppy. The playing with his teeth on the strings was cringe worthy. He was not always the "cleanest" player in terms of musical.

Jimi had feel in abundance. That's what it's all about.

Old enough to have seen Jimi in concert 3 times. i was really young, maybe too young to be at these concerts by myself. My parents knew my love for music and let me go. They would just drop me off. I was always a good girl. Damn it!!

Prince never remindered me of Jimi in any shape of form. My memory is so strong of both of them

'Uptown Traffic' is a good name. Should be a band or a blog or something.

Prince was influenced and channeled many artists, but I am neither embarrassed nor upset by any of it.

I wish that he had collaborated with Little Richard.
