A better world, a better life... was Prince referring to this forum on Prince.org??

I think it's great we all get to share our views and opinions about the music of Prince and more on this forum!! How can we make this forum to make it "a better world, a better life"?

Feel free to say whatever you want about Prince's My Computer and whether or not he was referring to Prince.org when he wrote the song.

Reading everyone's posts is amazzzing... so much to learn... so much to learn, live, develop, grow...

So why not take the time to give the mods some love, advice, praise, critique, understanding, etc. of what you think they could do better to make this site "...a better world, a better life"

But I've noticed that they lock up threads on the disease that took Prince's life...

Why do you think they do this?

If Prince died from Diabetes, would they lock up threads that talked hidden meanings in his songs about his glucose levels?? I doubt it

So why can't we discuss the hidden meanings in Prince's songs about his life threatening disease?

This is what I've been discussing with a friend on the org...

So Prince passed away from a life threatening disease

Life threatening diseases for the most part take a great amount of time to exert their effects

So my guess is that many close to Prince knew he used drugs but that is not uncommon for most people in the music industry

It kind of helps explain how he would supposedly go into a studio and come out 3 days later without sleeping because I'm sure it helped focus him or keep him awake in the studio

My guess is many close to Prince started to see a change in his drug use towards the end of his life and became worried and offered help or didn't know how to help

My guess is many people who were close to Prince are on this site, on this forum

My guess is many people who were close to Prince might even be the mods themselves

And my guess is many people on this site mayy feel guilty or sad because they knew Prince had a life threatening disease and didn't know how to help or didn't think it was in the end stages

And my guess is when this life threatening disease is brought up in threads that it stings the mods who were close to Prince

And my guess is there's a good amount of denial in those mods, the ones that admired him for his musical genius, about him actually having a life threatening disease

There's nothing to be ashamed about in having a life threatening disease...

But my guess is the mods don't want to admit that their idol died from a life threatening disease because they fear it tarnishes his legacy

So why do the mods shut down threads that discuss this FACT.

Why can't the mods accept and embrace it?

If they could, then threads would really be a lot more interesting to read

I don't find any of your guesses or the 'fact' you state compelling in any way. Humans are excellent at finding patterns and meanings in everything, but that doesn't automatically give them any basis in reality.

I agree that the mods here do a great job, especially in the face posters such as yourself. Though I disagree with your conclusions, I respect the effort you put into getting people to think more about Prince's lyrics. The thing is, you need to put more effort into how you present your ideas if you want to avoid constant thread locks and, ultimately, a ban.

However, using the thread to reference previous lockings of your past threads and also asking for people to comment on moderation is both off topic and not in accordance with the rules.

And then posting a long off-topic diatribe about Prince's death is simply wasting everyone's time. So please take some time out to think about posting in accordance with the rules, and using some intelligence.
