For me, 'Just My Imagination' is really much superior than any other cover. !

"Holland, if you don't know this then you ain't funky. But if you do, you're a friend of mine", The Artist said in Utrecht in 1998 before playing Stand by Sly & the Family Stone together with Larry Graham and Lenny Kravitz. That's my favourite with A Case of You in Den Bosch in 95 as a very close second. My least favourites are also by Sly, because by 2010/11, hearing Everyday People and I Want to Take You Higher for the umpteenth time was getting boring. And Andy Allo screwing up Marvin Gaye's Let's Get it on at North Sea Jazz isn't a very pleasant memory either...

I agree about Whole Lotta Love. Its not bad but its short and nothing special. He pulls it off but who cares.
I will have to check out Shadows and Chain.

It would be if the vocals weren't so hard to hear.

I forgot about Motherless CHild. I didn't think ofthat one because its a public domain song. But it is one of my top five favorite Prince performances.
Also, Spanish Castle Magic was quite good as well.

I completely agree with these. Specifically the 1983 benefit show version of A Case of You with that interesting guitar work.
Other favorites: Africa Talks to You The Conrete Jungle (soundchecks and/or aftershows around 2002) One Nation Under a Groove (briefly included in soundcheck in 2002) Honky Tonk Women Who Knows Whole Lotta Love (Bataclan aftershow 2002, not the released version on the Indigo Nights CD)
Least favorites: Betcha By Golly Wow Creep because of the lyrics changes
"Love & honesty, peace & harmony"

Easy - "Let's Go" The Cars.

I'm not much for covers in general, but i love his versions of A Case of You, and Crimson and Clover. So those are my favorites. The performance of the former at the '83 benefit was achingly beautiful, but ended too soon. The only live performance i know of the latter is from the Ellen show.
All the others are my least favorite. He didnt need to cover other artists, but i guess it was a nice gesture. I am probably of the minority in that i dislike his cover of One Of Us so much i have to skip it most of the time yet i cant even pinpoint what it is i dislike specifically. Its just eh. My favorite cover would have to be While My Guitar Gently Weeps (technically he covered that) and I already love that song so much, his guitar solo was crazy (heard it before I actually saw a video of it) my least favorite would have to be Creep, and only because his version is edited and the real version is very angsty and for me and when you take that song and edit it just takes all of the angst away and all the feeling away IMO *Insert witty Prince inspired quote here*

Favorites: Red House, Motherless Child. Both epic.
Least favorite: One of Us. Live or studio, it's unnecessary for my survival, but thanks anyway, P!

So many, but -
Live - Come Together and Crazy from circa 2007 - in their own way, they, somehow, compare with the originals.
Studio - A Case of U, U're Still the One (would absolutely LOVE to hear this in decent quality)
