Of course it is--this was his last computer synth generated album. Everything after would be more organic. ATWIAD is a true collaboration and its a fun album. "Climb in my fur." | |

I agree! what makes it really great more then the music is.. Prince knew to get away from the MTV 1984 fame (everyone was having in 1984)
Prince didn't try to make "1984 Remake Albums".. like EVERYONE else was.. he was doing his own thing.. his own journey

It does have 3 of Princes best songs ever:
Condition Of The Heart, Raspberry Beret and Pop Life. The other songs have neat melodies, but aren't masterworks. Temptation comes close. America is a throwaway party jam. Tamborine is good but not great. The Ladder is nonsensicle tripe. and the first two songs were largely not even written by P. I'd say, ATWIAD gets four stars out of 5. My top 5, all 5 stars.
