Happy Birthday Purple Rain (movie) Obviously, we all love the movie but I'm curious about the circumstances around when you first saw it. Check out my experience in this article: https://www.soulhead.com/...st-avenue/
I also included the 1984 concert show at First Avenue which sounds better than ever. OWWWAH!

Wow that concert sounds great, it was a pleasure to hear it so clearly. Thank you! I've always wondered how prominent the Linn Drum *crack* actually was. On the Syracuse DVD and Computer Blue, for example, it's very in your face and, but on this, and When Doves Cry in particular it's much softer and precise, if that makes sense. U fall in love 2 fast and hate 2 soon
And take 4 granted the feeling’s mutual

Greatest movie of all time! Seen it 100 times by now I'm sure.

I was working at a university during the summer and couldn't find anyone to go with me because most of my friends had went home for the summer and my co-workers tried to convince me that Prince was lame and that Bruce Springsteen was the greatest thing since sliced bread. I fell more deeply in lust/love with Prince that I thought was imaginable, vowed to meet him one day and couldn't stand the ground that Apollonia stood on! I was excited and sad at the end of the movie....sad because it was over; but interestingly enough I think I only went back to see it 1 more time. Oh the music.... When Doves Cry was my favorite then and now. [Edited 7/28/17 18:29pm]
