yes.

There is alot to take in right now. After a quick scan it's pretty much the same as the released version.

.

but much less processed. And thank god that it doesn't have that earsplitting linn-drum barrage at the end!

It is a more stripped-down version more in line with P's 1982-1983 sound style.

The 1985 released version is a richer mix, the same as happened to "Wonderful Ass".

Nice to have it. Great.

The most notable element of this version is the slightly different chord progression within the intro/main part of verse - there's no D chord so it's just E and C for one bar each. This certainly gives the track a somewhat darker feel.

I'm listening to this again. It's a different/early mix to be sure, but I don't know which one I prefer now. Either one will do.

Hmm, (listening as I type) ... Yeah, this one's better than the "new mix", but I can't articulate how. Thanks for this one.

Keep your headphones on.

The guitar solo sounds stronger on this one

It's exactly the same guitar solo. This version is lacking the keyboard and bass parts that often emphasise certain notes in the solo.

I wouldn't say it "grooves more" but it is defintely different. His vocals seem smoother to me..

I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

I wouldn't call this a demo. It's the same song, it just doesn't have the finished bass line or keyboards yet. There's nothing new or different in the song. it just sounds like he wasn't finished with it yet.
