"Die" - the song

Per "The Vault":

"Die" - This song was copyrighted at the Library of Congress on August 25th 1995...the lyrics state that "you got to die before you meet the father, say hello to the son." It also included a repeated phrase of "like the drummer said, you got to die." The musical content is unknown.

I've had the lyric as my signature for a while because it fascinates me. I don't suppose anymore info on this song has come out since?

"Like the drummer said, you got to die."

Sounds morbid, considering it was 5 or 6 years before Prince's conversion to Grahamism Jehovah's Witness. I've never heard of this track before. Prince was in a dark period in those days, so God only knows what he was talking about.

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

Miss/Mrs./Ms. Richardson I ask you please do not turn this into a religious debate thread...thank you.

I'll leak a mono Die if someone leaks the pristine Hey Hannigan, but with the flute solo middle 8 overdubbed during the Welcome2America sessions.

There is nothing disrespectful about it. Prince was a Christian and trust me the mere mention of Christianity will not set your eyeballs ablaze. Lord the man was raised as a 7 Day Adventist.

Do some looking into it and stop being ignorant. What else would the lyrics below mean?

you got to die before you meet the father, say hello to the son

Yeah, yeah, yeah--the first quoted line is obviously standard thought for a big chunk of Christians. But what about that drummer line? What's up with that?
