DMSR is one of my favorite ever Prince jams.

I concur. Lest we forget, the rehearsal session also features a killer workout of the same song. Both the rehearsal and the live Aug 1983 version must be heard and appreciated.

Funny to think that the latest issue of Q Magazine (that bastion of objective music journalism), actually dismissed 'D.M.S.R.' as "filler" in a recent assessment of Prince's albums...
