That reminds me that I bought a "promotional" DVD copy of Prince's Superbowl performance years ago... Can't find any information on an official version... It looked professional though at the time; I'll have to dig it up. Should I assume it's a bootleg?

Nope. They're on Time Life music, which does compilations like K-Tel or NOW.

Hadn't seen the purple vinyl, but the regular versions have been on sale in quite a few of the usual places.

I've had the DVD with "While My Guitar" for a few years. Interestingly, when compared to the off-air recording I made to DVDR, Prince's guitar solo is not as loud in the mix on the official DVD as it was on the broadcast. So, I'm keeping the home-made one too...

I didn't know about the DVD with the P-Funk induction or the vinyl. Good find, Bart!

The goofing on Bart in this thread would be justified if he was asking a question, but he isn't. He did his own search and found the answer himself just like he tells everyone else to do.

there is an official version released by the emmy committee and distributed amongst members for voting consideration. it turns up every now and again on ebay.

Nobody says anyone here "lies." lol.This sint about a truth...the thing is the same scenario that happened here, happens with others with Bart on the other end of it. Its just funy when something he does happens to him (no all ppl in the wake of his wrath ask nincompoop queations, some make same staements and findings as the one he made here) you came here to sort of stick up for him when you wouldnt have if someone else mae the same thread and he gave the same response some JOKINGLY gave back to him.
