. So true! Michael was abused as a child and never got to have a normal childhood. All he really ever wanted was to love and be loved, in return. Yes, he was adored by his fans, but I don't think he ever really got any "real love" from those who were close to him. . Prince had a lot of respect for MJ and I think playing the bass in his face was his way of saying "hey, thanks for being here", but then again, Prince could be arrogant too! But, I really don't think he meant any harm.

Oh Ok,you are a MJ hater,cool!
By the way,I replied to you only because the statement "there are several successors of MJ,and more talented e.g Bruno Mars".
This is an insane statement,imho.

All I can deduce from this post is that some of you know sh!t about music, Michael or Prince.
A lot of what happened with Thriller/Purple Rain was down to great timing but at the end of the day a whole lot of talent, and the music still stands even if the era has changed.
Let's not forget MJ was a megastar before Quincy, he was only an enhancement leading to great achievement. Quincy did not make MJ he had success beyond belief, before and after Q.
I love Prince but as talented and original, he released one hell of a lot of dudd's and nothing about his process had anything to do with quality. An expectional live act, but in the studio he badly needed some editing and outside input.
If you are going to compare both of their late 70's/early 80's output, MJ was miles ahead of the game and Prince caught up. That is fact.
But after all is said and done, they are completely different artists and only comparable because the media set-up, their styles and agenda were completely different.
Bruno Mars, please

MJ, D'Angelo, Lanny Kravitz - people around me always expect i dearly love and listen those three, but in reality i'm mumbling why i need those three when Prince is 3 in 1 package

All I know is that I would listen to Days of Wild, I love you but I don't trust you any more, Ripopgodazippa, Damn U, Revelation, 3121, Love, The Love we make, Shhhh, Black Sweat, 7, "God Created Women" and many songs from Prince's supposed 'dud' period any day of the week over some of MJ's songs from his peak period..."Bad" don't do shit for me (completely inappropriate song for someone like MJ imo).
Its all about personal preference and I am no hater. I think "Human Nature" is one of the most beautiful songs ever. I am a big fan of "Man in the Mirror", "PYT", "Billie Jean", "Beat it", and "Don't Stop til you get enough" etc. But songs like "Black and White" and "Heal the World" don't work for me at all. They are too sappy in my opinion.
Prince has a ton of music. He has duds but he also has a lot of great underrated music. Michael has some hits I don't at all like.
Back to Bad, it may sound sacrilegious but i haven't liked that song since it came out. Oddly, I think it might be the first song of his I didn't like.
I agree with what Robin Williams once said about the song Bad during a Johnny Carson appearance. He said that Michael wasn't bad (as in badass) but rather ethereal and harmless.

BlueShakooo said: Will.I.Am told the story in another interview as well. As far as I remember he told there, that he had said to Michael afterwards something like: "Well , that was just Prince's way of saying Hello". I like that!
He told the story on The Graham Norton show in the UK. I don't have the link to hand but it should be on YouTube. There's always a rainbow 🌈 , at the end of every rain ☔️

I thought Michael was there incognito, so it was just Prince acknowledging Michael without giving him away to the rest of the audience.

Actually Chris Tucker did during one of his shows, he talked about Prince coming over to where him and Micheal was, and Will said Chris was with them in Vegas. Below is the link. I bet Prince has footage of this, he tapes all his shows. I hope we see it one day.

Whenever MJ fans speak of P they always have to go into a pre-sequitor about MJ...I think it's because they feel as if they're betraying MJ to enjoy P and that also fuels the MJ fans need to perpetuate the myth that P and MJ were somehow friends and "respected each other"... . I've yet to hear a P fan care one way or the other if P was friends with MJ or if MJ "respected" P...Honestly, the only ones who care are MJ fans...It doesn't sit well with them that there are P fans who are indifferent to MJ...It hurts their pride and they feel MJ needs defending and that P fans are bitter and disrespectfull not to acknowledge what MJ fans feel is MJ's "greatness" or whatever... . It has nothing to do with trying to compare who wrote more songs, won more awards, sold more records...Even P being an Academy Award winner has less to do with my being a P fan cuz I was a fan long before P won the Oscar... . I've never heard a fan of any other performer say that to a P fan if the P fan doesn't like that performer...But to hear MJ fans, anyone who simply doesn't care about MJ is defensive, bitter, jealous, mean, rude, insecure...It's a years long pattern of MJ fan ideology so ingrained that it's in their DNA...Seriously... . MJ didn't like P...S'ok...So what?...I'm not upset by that... . P liked to toy with MJ cuz he was a weak and easy target...So?...That's real life in the big bad world of grownazzed men... . They weren't friends...and no amount of MJ fan art portraying them hugging and looking friendly will change that...and that's okay that they weren't friends... . You like MJ?...Good for you...Enjoy... . Doesn't mean as a P fan that my indifference is anything more than indifference...as in I don't give any effs about MJ...He doesn't move me with anything he does...nothing...it all falls flat for me...period...And I've seen him perform live several times so if it was gonna affect me, it would've...it doesn't... . I don't know how to explain it any better than that...although I fully expect now the MJ fans will feel they have to try to convince me what a "genius" MJ is in their eyes...and if I continue to disagree, I'm stoopit, bitter, lonely, rude, insecure and defensive... . Whatever... . [Edited 7/12/17 14:21pm]

. I have great respect for MJ as an artist/performer; he's a legend. I love Prince! They were both different, yet unique artists and both legends. Prince will always be my honey!! . I miss them both. . We were incredibly blessed to have them both, even though for a short while.

Sometimes i feel like some Prince, sometimes Michael. With Michael, there are deep, dark depressing cuts most Prince fans won't have bothered with as dismissive as they are of the so-called 'Pop Star'. They show depth and integrity. 'Morphine', 'Little Susie', 'Stranger in Moscow' and 'Scared of the Moon' spring to mind.

. I'm not one of those people who feel if they love Prince that they can't also love Michael. I grew up with the Jackson 5 and ABC, 123.....I'll be there, Ben......all a big part of my childhood. Michael was loved and adored around the world, and so was Prince! . You rock my world, ya know you did. Blood on the dancefloor.......When Doves Cry......I wanna be your Lover......don't stop till you get enough! LOL

This is what is meant in my comment above regarding pre-sequitors... . Notice the requisite MJ pre-appology/pre-history/pre-approval from other MJ fans so they won't judge or turn on her before she can safely deliver her P compliment?...Interesting, in a Pavlovian response sorta way... . Just sayin...

. LBrent: I know what I mean when I say it, and I don't really need someone to overly-analyze the meaning behind what I'm trying to convey. Like I said, I love both Michael and Prince. I guess that is too hard for some people to grasp? But then again, I'm not an average person, with average thoughts, feelings, etc. I am an independent thinker and I love what I love. Please, don't misconstrue what I'm trying to say here. Often times people on the Org want to rip apart what the other person is trying to say, and change it's meaning, and it's just not nice. . Am I too sensitive? Yes that too! I'm just being me, and you don't have to like it. . Michael and Prince were also loving, kind and sensitive. And, that is one of many things that I loved about them both. . Peace!

. I'm not pre-apologizing, or seeking pre-approval from anyone. I just want to make myself very clear about that. Maybe it appears that way to some, but that's not the way I think. . If someone likes Prince but doesn't like MJ or vice versa; that fine....that's them, not me.
