If it was released, would you rather it be attached to a deluxe edition of Lovesexy or a deluxe of Batman? Or something else?

I know the ideal would be a physical, tastefully remastered release of some completed iteration of the album with pristine quality of all the tracks plus a disc of (even more) outtakes from that moment in time that don't seem spliced and snatched from multiple murky sources. (Obviously, that's not likely to happen.)

You nailed it with the ideal - let it be released as it's own album. I sincerely hope that either the record labels or elite collectors with so-far uncirculated gems make this happen at some point. And not just for Rave but for so many other shelved projects / alternate configurations.
