Oh I’m not disputing that at all. I think all signs point to him only delivering PR remaster and you’re probably right about the rest of it. Paisley Park is in your heart

I remember some years ago someone asked Prince about the outtakes for Purple Rain anniversary, and Prince answered something like, "there are no outtakes from Purple Rain". I do not remember where I read the question / answer, damn. But I think it is clear Prince was not planning any "from vault" cd for the Purple Rain Anniversary. It is a Warner Bros project.

Erm, why have you literally copied and pasted from my Purple Rain Deluxe review as if these were your own words? Was it that hard to re-write them while making the same point? WTF?

Here's the deal people with the unreleased disc. Each year Prince was with WB, he submitted tracks to them for possible inclusion for an album. Let's take Purple Rain... The songs on outtake disc are songs he had given them during late 83-84. Songs like G-Spot, Traffic Jam, Wednesday, and many others are sitting at WB archives and they have access to them but they couldn't release them with Prince's consent.
Now that Prince has passed, WB can go into "their vault" and get whatever tracks they like. Prince's estate is not going to block a release of a song like "We Can Fuck" because they will benefit financially. WB and the estate know the consumer (us) want songs like "WCF" and "Wonderful Ass."
Quite honestly I'm surprised WB didn't put out more of what they have access to unless they plan on releasing a supplement to Purple Rain in the future. When and if we get a 1999 remaster, I'm sure we'll see songs like the original "Extralovable" and "Lust U Always" with the rape reference intact.
Once WB has exhausted their treasure trove of Prince outtakes from his years with them, that's when the real bidding war will commence for Prince's estate. Once Prince left WB, he only submitted finished products to whoever he was with for that time. __________________________________________________

That's correct. Whatever Prince submitted to WB for each album during his years with them is what they have access to. Songs that we have as boots, WB may not actually have and they would have to get special permission from the estate to release those songs. Yeah, this. Not once have i thought they came from boots. There would be way more on here if they were imo

That's what I believe as well. If they have G Spot (and All Day All Night) I'm pissed they didn't put in on the Vault disc instead of filler like "Katrina's Paper Dolls" or "Velvet Kitty Kat", which don't sound like they belong in this era. I'm happy with the project but it could've been so much better with more effort.

I thought they picked that version of Dance Electric because that version was the one created during Purple Rain era. The fuller version was done significantly later. I'm pretty sure you're correct.

There's no vault music stored in PP. those tapes are stored properly now someplace.

Yeah especially G-Spot since that song proceeded Electric Intercourse in the original movie script
those other 2 were the Time / Vanity 6 outtakes.
the Vanity 6 version of Sex Shooter would have been prefered.
How about Traffic Jam...
