Yessssss...When Doves Cry Official video launched

Been waiting on this for years...

The full/real version of Prince Rogers Nelson's When Doves Cry has been uploaded to Youtube legall, audio and all......

I absolutely loved this jam and video back in the day, always hated when stations would only play the radio edit version......

That's why it's called a radio edit. lol Which is really the single version. 45s couldn't hold much time, so 12" singles (aka maxi singles) were created for people who wanted to buy the longer version or remixes. Maxi singles were also used by club DJs because they generally had better sound quality. Or they were mixed different than the 45, even for the same version the 45 had. The bass might be pumped up on the maxi.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton
