Hoping Prince's death won't end up unsolved like Tupac Shakur The more time that passes, the more frustrating it gets that the source of the tainted pain meds Prince was taking can't seem to be found. These pills didn't grow legs and feet and just walk up to Prince and say 'take me'. Conspiracy theories aside, it seems very interesting that these pills come into the mix after Prince re-associates himself with WB and when Prince is in complete ownership of the vast majority of his catalog. Further, the power move Prince pulled by leaving WB and tellin the world what was up with the label system and artists in general was major and then he topped it off by continuing to be artistically and financially successful outside of the label system; he didn't die broke. He not only spoke truth to power, he became empowered and free because of his intelligence; he beat them by their own game and i kinda feel like he made some folks unhappy in the process. Time will ultimately tell the truth, but for now, i got my eyes on the money and who's gonna be making it for the next 50 years or so; Prince left ALOT behind and IF any foul play did happen, somebody knew that he'd be worth more dead than alive. Don't get this post twisted, i feel like the aforementioned narrative as well as the one that's been in the media since his death have equal validity; both of these scenarios could have very well taken place. I just feel like it can't be that difficult and take this long to track down the source of these pills. i also feel like when a person challenges the status quo and messes with money, that person is likely to have some problems in the future.

First of all, the deaths of Prince and Tupac were tragic but because the circumstances were differente, you cannot worry that the probability of the police to trace the path of manufacturer to dealer to Prince to the unsolved murder of Tupac. The murder of Tupac has been proven to have a lot to do with Los Angeles street gangs, corrupt L.A. police officers and many witnesses after Tupac's death were either intimidated not to snitch or got killed (i.e. Tupac's cousin Yaki Kadafi in November 1996). Also, the police investigation into who sold Prince the fentanyl could not be that easy to track down if it has takeen this long. For the sake of those still affected by Prince's death, I hope finding the source of the counterfeit pills bring some closure to them. 3121 #1 THIS YEAR

conspiracy theories don't help, I didn't want to see cosby in Prison but there is no way in hell anyone cooked up some grand plan to get dozens of women to claim he raped them just so he wouldn't buy NBC. That's just fucking stupid yet we see it.
With Prince, I'm not satisfied but I don't believe any grand conspiracy was at work. I think we don't know enough to know what actually happened but I don't believe Warners would kill the guy for a few more bucks. It's not like a government or anything that does those kinds of thing, it's just a fucking record company.
