Tambourine: sometimes sounds like "trampoline?" Is it just me, or does it sound like sometimes he's saying "trampoline?" Esecially when he's talking about his (vs. his girlrfriends?")

thegamecock said: Trembling... said over 3 syllables That makes sense but I don't think the original lyrics with the original vinyl correspond to that. But I don't have my vinyl with me to check

The Around the World in a Day sheet music book said "troubling" if I remember right. I have it on a .pdf, but it's on a different drive that I'll have to check some time.

I looked on discogs.com--they have the album graphics up there. The lyrics don't include the sounds in question at all. So no answer there.

I always heard both tamborine and trampoline used alternately per my memory, at least some of the time. I assumed the play on words is how acrobatic he would be playing her tamborine....like doing tricks on a trampoline.

And now I've looked at the sheet music--it has "trouble-ing." For whatever that's worth.

I can hear trampoline, tremble-ing, trouble-ing, and even sometimes the nonsensicle jumbo-line

I think theres an overdub in that part of the song and so he is saying trampoline, troubling and maybe even tambourine, mixing it all down to one track,so to the listener is like "WTF did he just say" Alot of artists did that type of thing, the most notable or memorable would be Mj in Bille Jean siinging Schmon, but with Mj theres no overlapping of words or overdub

Been saying that for years. I don't argue with people about my opinions. Scram. I said what I said.

Yep, it says troubling - I certainly thought it sounded like trampoline as a kid though.
