What song would you have liked Prince to have played?

I always thought it would have been great to hear Prince play some Thin Lizzy tracks.......especially Emerald as it has some great guitar work.

hahaha I'm sorta curious why he never played "Cat Scratch Fever" in the SOTT/Lovesexy days. It would have worked on the Lovesexy tour's medleys. Other choices in general:

David Bowie "Let's Dance"

Cyndi Lauper "Money Changes Everything"

Ambrosia - "You're The Only Woman"

Player - "Baby Come Back" the way he did "Reflection" on Tavis.

Hall & Oates - "Sara Smile" or "You Make My Dreams Come True" a la "Delirious" or "Horny Toad". it's like a step away from rockabilly anyway.

Such a good choice! I remember when Dolly Parton did a version around 1997 or so (I lived in Mpls at the time and we played it a lot in the record store I worked in). I sorta feel like it's something he would have done with Tamar or something. Not sure why.

Just when you think it's getting better... I had the same thought (more or less)--but I couldn't have said it nearly as well, or as simply.

Back when he was alive I would occasionally mention Funkadelic's Cosmic Slop as a nice cover--I still think it would have been nice.
