All sounds and looks good until one really looks for themselves where the money goes....Sun Edison collasped with funding...where did the $$$ go???....And as far as that polished article much is left out like with the cuts proposed still...41% increase would go to the Cancer Moonshot program....ASCR would get a 11.6 % boost to 722 Million....the VA gets a much needed 4 Million....The Smithsonian 8 Million and Nasa 100 Million going to 3.71 Billion.....just throwing money to folks does not mean results will happen....most of these deals to begin with are between the Universities & The Government...much of it wasted and never accounted for...hopefully Prince sought accountability for every dollar.....President Trump gets blasted at every turn....the free gravy train of just throwing money around getting minimal results needs to be put under a microscope....hopefully it will happen and soon.

Did you actually read the article these start ups are doing well because of his seed money while govt funds are going away. These energy source are coming and big coal his only getting help because the gave money to Trump's campaign and that is the only reason.

Do you realize the internet got started by the military not private industry and cellphone were first used by the military. The govt has has a hand in many technologies for many decades. Nothing knew is occuring.

It's good not saying it's not but in this example if I felt like digging into it more I would bypass anything Van Jones says & look for myself...just my opinion in donating while Solar is a nice idea there are folks struggling everyday in Detroit, Chicago etc just to get by everyday...help those in front of us first then lets get to issues like this...it's always backwards.

You do not think helping people reduce their energy bills is help for struggling families? The last time I looked Oakland has some poverty issues just like the cities you named.

In addtion, Solar can generate jobs which is what a business incubator is set up to do.

Of course he was. Just another way that he made sacrifices and tried to make the world a better place.
