As far as anyone knows, there's not one, or, it would be listed at the link.

There is no known extended version; certainly not a withheld 12" single.

It can be reasonably said, however, that virtually any of his relatively complex productions most likely have unused elements. Extended mixes, without looping (or resorting to LRC Dance Remix stretching-out trickery), and using only original material, could be put together for a vast portion of his 1980's catalogue. That wouldn't in all cases necessarily be to the advantage of the song.

I would liken the additional parts in the live version to what he did while touring with DMSR and Lady Cab Driver, improvised or invented during rehearsals, perhaps borrowing from sections of other then-unreleased songs or musical ideas floating around at the time. I would doubt that those extra live parts would be based on any unused portions of the studio m/t.

I don't disagree. However, if YOU know about the site, you can answer your own OP question as fast or faster than you can come here and ask. After going over the info, you might have a question that is not answered there or just want to start a conversation about the song that informs or ponders. You could even link to the page at PrinceVault in your posts and those that don't already know about it might be enlightened.

Just some ideas... I'm not flaming, promise. Just trying to evolve the discussion.
