Prince Live recorded album tracks vs Studio versions

Guys,

Just been thinking now that they have discovered and releasing Electric Intercourse studio version do you think we they find other studio recording in the Paisley Park vaults for other Prince tracks that we only ever heard the live recordings of.

I'm sure these many more but these two songs that I love to hear the studio versions too.

* It's Gonna Be A Beautiful Night

Its Gonna Be A Beautiful Night i'd be surprised if there is actually a studio version of that, but you never know

Obviously I'd love to hear the true studio version of Purple Rain. Not a live with overdubs demo but a real, polished studio cut like the new Electric Intercourse

Fair point about 'Adore' for some reason I always thought the live overdubs were from a intimate live recording of the song. But still be interested to hear all versions of these songs from the studio.

For me the most drastic difference between studio/live is If I Had A Harem. Though the studio version we've heard is more a demo it still should NEVER be officially released if that's the only version lol.

It's gonna be a beautiful night has no demo. It was a jam the Revolution came up with during the Paris soundcheck on the Parade tour. Hence why when they played it that night it has no lyrics at all except the wizard of oz chant. Lyrics and overdubs came much later. If you listen to the boot or watch the Paris 86 show. They're just jamming and having fun on stage.

Define "live"? There isn't exactly audience sounds throughout on it. The only audience is the segue from the actual audience on IGBABN. It doesn't even seem live. It's just a track on the album. The only live track is IGBABN. No other tricky.

IGBABN is so overdubbed it qualifies as a half live, half studio recording.

I'm not sure there is a live-version-only song out there, outside of EI.
There are covers, but I can't think of a Prince song.

"Elements added to make it seem live"?? It does NOT seem live at all. So what elements are you referring to? (Apart from the crowd noise in the very beginning, which is just a fade-out of the previous track, nothing more.)

Adore is 100% studio and no part of it ever seemed live to me.
