About 10 yrs ago I made a funk CD that had Erotic City, Flashlight, Genius Of Love, White Horse & Cold Blooded (Rick James) on it & everybody loved that CD, thinking about a new play list now.

i've always thought talking heads was a huge influence on p's early sound. some of their (p's and talking heads) tracks could mash-up seamlessly....

I thought he once said during the George Clinton induction that he listened to George play then wrote Erotic City that night. I could be wrong.

You are correct, inspired by george clinton after concert he attended at the beverly theater, he went home that night and wrote the song.
