The things I would give to be a Rolling Stone for a day but man oh man I would not want to have to follow Prince. Does anyone even remember who won that Superbowl?

.

this is true.

I saw Prince/Zapp with Roger/THE TIME on the Controversy tour when they came through Richmond VA in early '82. THAT show obviously was FULL of FUNK.

.

I too am now curious about whatever went down between Prince & the Bar-Kays. I like "soul finger" & "boogie body land" (I think that's the title..)

but indeed - as talented a band as they were, Prince circled them many times. by himself.

.

ideally someone will post more tea about this "beef" between Prince. & that other group.

I'll see you tonight..

It's hard to believe Prince was ever the opening act! He seemed like he was always on top.
